Sister Cities Hub
Sister Cities Hub turns a paper twinning agreement into a living dashboard. Each twinned pair gets a shared workspace surfaced inside both cities' admin panels.
Lighthouse pair: Warszawa ↔ İstanbul #
Twinned since 1991 under the Polish-Turkish Treaty of Friendship. The Cittopia hub for this pair tracks:
- 12 active joint programs (cultural, educational, urban planning).
- 47 exchange staff currently posted in either direction.
- 5 open joint projects — including transport-system benchmarking and historical-quarter preservation.
- Comparative Pulse card (Warsaw 72 silver vs İstanbul 61 bronze) with pillar-by-pillar breakdown.
Why pairs, not networksCittopia does not aggregate sister cities into mass networks. We believe the unit of value is the pair — two cities with one named relationship. A city can have many pairs, but each pair has its own hub, history, and metrics.
What the hub shows #
| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Treaty & history | The originating agreement, anniversaries, mayoral exchanges |
| Active programs | Cultural exchange, language partnerships, urban-planning workshops |
| Exchange staff | Named officers currently posted in either direction |
| Joint projects | Initiatives co-funded or co-staffed by both municipalities |
| Comparative metrics | Side-by-side Pulse, QoL pillars, demographic shifts |
Open the hub in either city's admin: the widget appears on the dashboard home automatically when a sister-city relationship is registered.
